Wirtgen focuses on sustainable solutions and technology at Intermat

The Wirtgen Group will focus its display at Intermat on environmentally compatible technologies, solutions, and applications that make decisive contributions to the reduction of CO2 emissions in the construction industry.

Products and solutions from Wirtgen brands answer user needs for a smarter, safer, and more sustainable road construction process chain as well as more efficient extraction and processing of minerals.

Wirtgen Group Production Systems target the specific needs of customers, from project planning and execution through end-to-end documentation of the construction site. Digitalization will be an essential driver for greater sustainability and higher precision.

Products being shown for the first time at an industry show in France include the MOBIREX MR 100(i) NEO / NEOe mobile impact crusher from Kleemann, the first member of its new family of compact crushers. An efficient, powerful, and extremely flexible machine, the NEOe version makes all-electric operation a viable option.

Battery-electric tandem rollers in the Hamm HD CompactLine provide low-noise compaction with zero local emissions and deliver the same outstanding compaction performance as their combustion-engined counterparts. The 2.7-tonne HD 12e will be presented at Intermat.

Small, light, and agile, the MINI 500 and MINI 502 road pavers from Vogele are ideal for paving tasks in tight spaces. Electrically powered models of these pavers will be available later this year. Benninghoven burners, which can now be fueled with 100 percent green hydrogen, will also be on display.

Wirtgen Group is nominated for the Intermat Innovation Award under the “Roads, Materials, and Foundations” category for its submission “Recycling of Milling Tools.” Wirtgen worked with Betek to develop a method that enables the recovery of carbide and its reuse in the production of new cutting tools – for instance, for Wirtgen cold milling machines.
