It acts as a green technology developer and energy-efficient microgrid power solution provider working with global IT companies to help deliver solutions for energy and data center infrastructure projects.

Howson, 55, was the CEO of Carillion from 2011 until 2017.  It went bust in January 2018 owing nearly £7bn to suppliers and subcontractors and ranked as one of the country’s biggest corporate failures.

Last October, the Insolvency Service handed down the directorship ban.

It said he had caused Carillion to report its financial statements on key projects like the Royal Liverpool Hospital, Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route; Midlands Metropolitan Hospital; and Msheireb Phase 1 in a way that he ought to have known “falsified and concealed” the reality of the company’s deteriorating financial position.
