Logitech’s Pro Racing Wheel Released in ’22, but where are the wheel choices?

Logitech shook up the sim racing scene when it launched the Pro Racing Wheel and Pedals back in 2022, the brand’s first entry into the powerful direct drive space, the Pro Wheel offered incredible realism and precision.

However, as time has gone on, one question continues to linger among Pro Racing Wheel owners: Where are the additional wheel options?

The Logitech Pro Racing Wheel’s quick-release system was designed with future expandability in mind and yet, more than a year and a half since its launch, we still only have the standard GT-style wheel that comes included.

Competitors in the sim racing hardware market, like Fanatec and Moza, boast an impressive array of wheel options. From formula-style wheels to F1-style and even full-size truck wheels, there’s something for every racing enthusiast. This level of customization lets sim racers truly fine-tune their experience, adding another dimension of immersion and realism based on the type of car they’re virtually driving.

So, why the hold-up with Logitech’s wheel options? It’s hard to say for sure, their first Pro wheel was great, and there’s definitely money they’re leaving on the table here, with many racing enthusiasts prepared to spend additional money for additional wheel options for the different racing genres.

Whatever the reason, the lack of additional wheel choices is a curious omission. It feels like the Logitech Pro Racing Wheel is truly ready to reach its full potential, but it’s being held back.

With the release of F1 2024 just around the corner, now would be a great time for Logitech to step up its game. The Pro Racing Wheel is a fantastic piece of hardware, but the limited wheel options stifle its appeal for many serious sim racers looking for adaptability.

Ultimately, sim racing fans deserve the opportunity to build the perfect setup. Let’s hope Logitech hears the community’s voices and unlocks the true potential of the excellent Pro Racing Wheel with some new exciting quick-release wheel options.
