CHENNAI: A 31-year-old man was
arrested
Monday on the charges of sexually harassing a 15-year-old girl on a flight from London to Chennai.
Police pressed charges under

Act against the flyer, a
software engineer
from Chennai currently working in Ireland, following a complaint from the girl’s parents after the flight landed Sunday.
“According to the parents, the offender was on the seat behind the girl.
She informed her parents seated next to her about the sexual harassment, and they alerted the flight crew. After the flight landed, they went home and lodged a police complaint,” an officer said.
Police tracked the suspect with the help of CCTV footage and flight details. He was sent to judicial custody.
