BREAKING: Vitus applauds Ododo for appointing technocrats as commissioners

Kogi state governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has been applauded for the selection of experts as commissioners to form his cabinet, describing them as technocrats who are ready to utilise their experience to move the state forward.

This was contained in a statement signed by High Chief Ofodum Vitus, which was made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Friday.

Chief Vitus, who is the Managing Director, Vitek Engineering Company Limited, noted that the decision of the governor to hit the ground running showed his level of preparedness for the job of steering the state to enviable height.

He said the portfolios and antecedents of the appointees showed that they would ensure good governance and bring dividends of democracy to bear on Kogi people in terms of economic, social and infrastructure development.

Chief Vitus, who charged the new commissioners to work tirelessly to deliver on the priorities of the present administration, urged them to work closely with the people at the grassroots to ensure they build on the gains recorded under the immediate past governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

He added that the vision of the people for the state, coupled with Ododo’s dedication to fostering positive change and progress, inspires confidence in the potential for a brighter future.

He noted that the people are optimistic that under Ododo’s leadership, Kogi State will experience unprecedented growth, development and prosperity.

“I firmly believe in the greatness and possibilities that Governor Ododo’s administration holds for the advancement of Kogi State and its people. Your unwavering commitment to public service and leadership has not gone unnoticed, and it is truly commendable, Vitus stated.
