Industry Ministry aims to localize technical jobs in various sectors: Official

Khalil bin Salama, Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industry Affairs, said that the ministry aims to localize specialized technical jobs in various industrial sectors, Al-Yaum newspaper reported.




During a dialogue session with youth in the Qassim region, he explained that the industrial sector provides numerous promising opportunities, especially in new technologies and applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. These technologies align with the skills and capabilities of young people and will create a significant revolution not only in the industrial sector but in all economic fields.




As part of its efforts to achieve localization, the ministry has entered into a strategic partnership with the Food Industries Polytechnic (FIP), which succeeded in localizing more than 3,000 jobs in the past years by qualifying national competencies. The number of trainees in the sector exceeded 50,000 through partnerships with the private sector, institutes, and specialized academies.




Additionally, nearly 52,000 young people from the nation were supported in employment, bin Salama added.
