Florida State's Ta'Niya Latson and Virginia Tech's Elizabeth Kitley

The ACC will be in the national spotlight Sunday afternoon for a top-25 women’s basketball clash between No. 11 Virginia Tech and No. 21 Florida State.

The Hokies enter play on an eight-game winning streak, including a 4-0 start to conference play. Their resume includes a thrilling victory last week over then-No. 3 NC State, in which preseason All-American Elizabeth Kitley scored the game-winning lay-up in the final seconds.

Behind Kitley and Georgia Amoore, the Hokies tout one of the top one-two punches in the sport. The 6-6 Kitley leads Virginia Tech with 21.6 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game; in her last game against Miami, she notched 31 points and 11 rebounds.

Amoore, meanwhile, averages 17.3 points and a team-high 7.4 assists per game.

The Seminoles enter play a half-game behind Virginia Tech for the top spot in the ACC. Florida State is coming off a victory over No. 20 North Carolina, in which senior guard Sara Bejedi dropped a season-high 23 points.

Bejedi is one of four Seminoles averaging in double-figures, a group headlined by sophomore Ta’Niya Latson. Latson averages a team-high 20.3 points per game.
