Hearts of Oak are struggling with technical direction

Accra Hearts of Oak and Ghana legend Mohammed Polo has pinned The Phobians struggles on a lack of technical direction for the club.

The Dribbling Magician said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports as Hearts of Oak endures a four game winless run including a 2-3 loss to rival Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club.

Hearts has gone through Slavko Matic and Martin Koopman as head coaches with David Ocloo as an interim head coach in the past season and a half.

Assistant coach Abdul Bashiru is serving as the interim head coach and Polo believes the club’s struggles are down to a lack of technical direction while admonishing the club’s management for treating him poorly during his time as head coach on previous occasions.

“I thought I gave everything to them but unfortunately, there was no appreciation and if you are doing something without appreciation, it’s very very painful and today Hearts is suffering because of technical direction.”

“They are struggling with technical direction. How many coaches have they sacked? I was part of those they did away with…the last one (departure) was very annoying.”
