A smart indoor camera is a necessary security gadget for a smart home. And the price doesn’t threaten to break the bank. Smart home security company Blink has been offering, not one, but four Mini cameras for a little under $130 – and that is now 54% off on Amazon Prime.
Blink Mini cameras weigh very little at 1.7 ounces (approx. 48g), and come with a stand so they can be placed on any flat surface or mounted on a wall. The wide-angle lens records 1080p video at 30fps, and an infrared LED allows for night vision. The camera sends notifications via the mobile app when it detects motion, along with the option to access video recordings for up to five minutes. For longer recordings, you will need a Blink Sync Module ($34 on Best Buy), which also acts as a hub for all your Blink devices.
While Blink Mini cameras don’t have built-in local storage or pan-and-tilt capabilities, workarounds exist for these features. You can add a USB drive to the Blink hub instead of paying a $10/month subscription for cloud storage. You may also decide to get a mount accessory that can support pan-and-tilt.
The Blink Mini camera listens to Alexa voice commands and integrates via IFTTT. Although it requires a hub and some form of external storage, you don’t need to make those purchases to get started. If you have an Amazon Prime membership, you can buy the 4-pack Blink Mini indoor cameras for $59.99.
