Montage Technology has released a fresh new generation of processors. Called the 5th Gen Jintide CPUs, the new chipsets are basically Intel’s 5th Gen Xeon processors that Montage has rebadged and started selling as its own.

There have been multiple incidents where Chinese companies got caught for rebadging Intel or AMD CPUs and selling them as their own. PowerStar’s X86 processors serve as a prime example in this regard, which were basically Intel 10th Gen Comet Lake processors. Then, there’s the Zhaoxin KX-7000 CPU lineup that’s based on Alder Lake and Raptor Lake. Now, Montage Technology has started selling rebadged Intel 5th Gen Xeon processors as its own.

Montage Technology calls this batch of rebranded CPUs 5th Gen Jintide processors. But regardless of the different prints on the Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS), it won’t take you long to realize that these are Intel’s “Emerald Rapids” Xeon CPUs. Things become much clearer when you look into the specs of these rebadged processors.

The SKUs, part numbers, and all the other relevant info are available on the official Montage Technology website. But just the SKU numbers are enough. The five 5th Gen Jintide CPUs have C8558P, C4514Y, C5520+, C6542Y, and C6548Y+ as the SKU numbers. All of them match with Intel Xeon SKUs.

If you dig a little deeper, you’ll find that even the specs are the same, with the high-end 5th Gen Jintide CPU maxing out at 48 cores, 96 threads, an L3 cache of 260 MB, and 350W TDP. Interestingly, it only took Montage Technology four days to rebadge the newly launched “Emerald Rapids” chipsets.
