TalentQL introduces Bubble, a platform that matches founders and developers
The tech world became much more interesting as TalentQL, a network of skilled African developers, launched Bubble, a platform like “Tinder for Co-Founders”.
Bubble, a pioneer and innovative platform, is built to pair co-founders and developers, aiding and guiding developers in testing their technical skills through the developmental processes.
The CEO of TalentQL, Adewale Yusuf, posted on the popular social media platform X (formerly Twitter) announcing that his team has built “the first Tinder for Co-founder Platform”.
“A fast platform that pairs you with your potential co-founder. We also take it a step further; we help you test their technical skills. And we work with you from the beginning to the end.” he said.
The platform holds much potential as it could project partnership spaces, forums for idea exchange, the creation of networking events, and more.
Zenith Bank targets expansion of services into France
Nigerian tier-1 bank Zenith Bank is looking to expand its branch into France.
One of the most lucrative and popular banks in the African continent, Zenith Bank has decided to join the other Nigerian banks like Access Bank, First Bank and UBA in expanding its reach beyond the African continent to become a global banking institution.
The CEO/Group Managing Director of Zenith Bank Plc, Ebenezer Onyeagwu, revealed the bank’s intentions at the Chartered Institute of Bankers annual dinner.
“This afternoon, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of France to signal the commencement of the issuance of a banking licence to Zenith to commence operations in France,” he said.
Zenith Bank operates in countries like China, Ghana, Sierra Leone, UAE, and the United Kingdom.
Nigerian politician found involved in the $2 million Patricia hack
A Nigerian politician has been found involved in the 2022 hack of fintech, Patricia. The politician, William Bonse, was accused of stealing $760,000.
According to the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), which was involved in the case, William Bonse, a 2023 gubernatorial candidate, sent 607 million ($760,000) from Patricia’s account into his via a crypto wallet.
In May 2022, Particia announced that it was hacked and had witnessed a loss of $2 million in customer funds. The NPF has since been involved in the case, and upon catching Willaim Bonse, who has confessed his involvement in the hack, justice is finally underway for the fintech firm.
NUGA partners with GAMR in revolutionising ESports within Nigerian Universities
The Nigerian Universities Games Association has partnered with GAMR Tech Solutions Limited to incentivise the Electronic Sports (E-Sports) and video games industry within Nigerian tertiary institutions.
According to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the partnership is to support and encourage esports talent and organise annual inter-university games.
“Through this unique partnership, we are not only positioned to deliver unparalleled eSports experiences but also to tap into the immense potential of our youth during our annual varsity games and beyond,” the Head of Partnerships at GAMR, Damilola Pedro, said.
“We’re not just investing in games; we’re investing in our students’ futures. Through collaborative efforts in education and training initiatives, we’re setting the stage for Nigeria to become a formidable force in the global gaming scene,” Chidiebere Ezeani, the National Secretary at NUGA, claimed.
Zoho appraises itself for 50% growth in Nigeria, eyes partnership with #StartupSouth
Zoho, a worldwide technology company, has announced its pleasure in recording 50% growth in Nigeria in 2022, as this positive review has encouraged the company to collaborate with #StartupSouth as part of its Zoho for Startup programme.
The #StartupSouth programme is an organisation that aims for the development and growth of start-ups in South and South-East Nigeria.
