Princess Nourah University Signs MoU with Saudi Society for Cell, Tissue Technology

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, represented by the Biobank Department affiliated with the Health Science Research Center, signed a memorandum of understanding today with the Saudi Society for Cell and Tissue Technology.

The signing took place at the university’s conference center.

The Biobank Department was represented at the signing of the agreement by the head of the department, Dr. Alaa bint Abdullah Al Masoud, and from the society’s side by the chairman of its board, Abdulbasit bin Abdul Samad Andijani.

Memorandum’s Goals

The memorandum aims to collaborate and coordinate partnerships in the fields of education, training, continuing education, awareness and educational activities.

It also enhance the partnership to improve practices and services in the field of cell and tissue technologies, which are vital in healthcare.

Areas of Cooperation

The agreement between the two parties includes cooperation in several areas, such as: conducting training courses in the field of cell and tissue technologies, educational activities with accredited continuing education hours, transferring administrative, technical, and research expertise in the field of cell and tissue pathology, and providing technical and scientific support for it.

In addition to cooperation and coordination in organizing conferences, and implementing programs and campaigns of educational awareness that serve the community.

Commitment to Healthcare Advancement, Saudi Vision 2030

It is noteworthy that the memorandum comes from both parties’ keenness on the importance of partnerships, uniting efforts to achieve integration in the field of cell and tissue technologies, and enhancing research and development in it; to improve the quality of health services.

This will contribute to achieving the targets of Saudi Vision 2030 in raising the level of awareness and education.
