National Lottery halted on air due to ‘technical difficulties’

Last night’s National Lottery was unable to air on TV due to “technical difficulties”.

The draw was suspended after the Lotto Plus One draw machine began selecting balls earlier than the sequence should have started.

The recording of the draw continued but the live TV broadcast was suspended.

A National Lottery spokesperson said this issue did not affect the integrity of the draw or the numbers drawn.

The Lotto and Lotto Plus Two draws were then conducted off air and the results were released on RTÉ One later.

According to the National Lottery’s website, no one won the jackpot for the Lotto, Lotto Plus One or Lotto Plus Two.

Last night’s jackpot was €2,704,266.
