New York, NY | October 2023 – Gritty In Pink dominated New York Tech Week with

their “InvestHer Roundtables: Women Writing Checks” event on Thursday, October

19, at the Live Nation NYC Headquarters. The event was proudly presented by

INPINK and Live Nation and sponsored by All Raise, IFundWomen, Johnnie Walker,

Waterloo Sparkling Water, and Bareburger.Gritty In Pink brought together various influential and underrepresented groups in the

venture capital space – including founders, funders, executives, organizations, and

leaders. The packed audience of over 300 guests heard insight on investing in

underrepresented founders, technology and investing, AI and the VC space, and more.

“Best event of the year,” said Karen Cahn, CEO, and Angel Investor of IFundWomen

and member of the female investor’s panel.

DJ MissHap opened the event with a lively DJ set while attendees had the chance to

receive free professional headshots. Shira Yevin, the host and founder of Gritty In Pink,

extended a warm welcome to a distinguished panel of female investors and VC industry

leaders. Along with Cahn, the panel included Judene Small (Partner, Cultural

Leadership Fund, Andreessen Horowitz), Lynn Fernando (President, TechGirl &

Co-CEO, REV Global), La Keisha Landrum Pierre (Managing Director and

Co-Founder, Emmeline Ventures), Gayatri Sarkar (Founder and CEO, Advaita Cap),

Sarah Vinall (Senior Vice President, Media Strategy, iHeartMedia Ventures), and Kelly

Ann Winget (Founder, Alternative Wealth Partners).

“This was one of the most high-energy, engaging atmospheres I’ve been a part of in my

career. Even the founders in the audience were there to get real, tangible feedback on

their problems,” said Winget. “The investors were curious and confident enough to walk

up and ask how to get involved … It really was amazing … sharing the stage with the

most impressive group of women.”

Following the panel, the guest speakers conducted individual one-on-one roundtable

discussions with the attendees. During the mixer segment of the event, attendees

enjoyed delicious food from Bareburger and were also treated to an acoustic

performance from MegaGoneFree, a talented artist and TikTok influencer based in New

York.

“Deals are going to come out of this event … This is what I love, helping women,” said

Shira Yevin, founder of Gritty In Pink.
