About Company: Our client is a renowned Auto-tech company that is driving innovation in the automotive sector in Africa. The company has a widespread presence in Africa, with a comprehensive range of services, including sourcing, financing, and after-sales support.

Job Objective: The Head of Commercial will be expected to drive the actualization of retail sales targets by driving lead originations across the different channels with a primary focus on the offline channel. The Head of Commercial will focus on onboarding and building a strong offline channel of partners to drive retail auto loan sales. Focus on growing the distribution channel monthly while also growing the capacity of already onboarded partners. This ensures increased output per dealer as you drive growth within the network.

The Head of Commercial will work closely with the Head of Sales Conversion to ensure that all leads are successfully converted and disbursed. The main goal of the Head of Commercial is to continuously increase the top funnel thus ensuring that sales targets are met monthly. Also Implement an innovative, growth focused commercial strategy, focusing primarily on offline channels.

The ideal candidate will leverage on data to understand the profile of existing customers to drive repeatable MoM growth and future commercial scale can be achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

· Responsible for growing lead originations across all channels: Website, Dealers, DSAs, Bank etc

· Grow the offline loan origination channel and scale this channel across Nigeria

· Drive lead generation through a focused account management approach and establish the commercial viability of prospects.

· Developing and implementing the commercial originations strategy across the core cities

· Pitch, engage, and close deals with target customers.

· Understanding the value drivers of the business and identifying potential opportunities to further scale and build these levers

· Working closely with the sales team to manage customer experience in the sales funnel thereby improving turnover and profitability.

· Championing and leading each new product or initiative, from innovation through to successful implementation across each channel, to enable it to become a core part of the business.

· Collating and analyzing business data pertaining to all commercial activities.

· Ensuring that all commercial activities meet or improve on budget, cost, volume, and efficiency targets (Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)) in line with business objectives.

· Hire, train and build a strong sales force that drives retail performance

· Drive strong stakeholder management across different functions to ensure business growth and team cohesion

· Undertaking any other duties which may be requested by the Country Manager, for which training and/or an explanation has been provided and understood.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Equivalent.

· Relevant professional certifications will be an advantage

· 10+ years’ work experience with at least 7 years in sales

· Extensive sales experience in Credit and auto loan products, E-commerce, FMCG, Automotive

· Experience in the automotive industry will be an advantage

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Strong presentation, problem solving and business writing skills

· Excellent interpersonal abilities

· Proven strategic aptitude and ability

· Tenacious and results driven with sound business judgment.

Technical Requirements:

· Experience building a strong offline distribution channel

· Ability to sell nontraditional retail products

· Strong Sales & Negotiation knowledge

· Commercially astute and customer focused

· Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

· Excellent project management skills.

· Good understanding and interpretation of Data and use of analytics tools
