Philips has launched its 4K Ambilight OLED708 TV in Europe, already on sale in the UK and Germany. The new model is available in sizes from 48 to 65-in, with the company’s immersive colorful experience. Other features include Dolby Vision and Atmos, AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync.

The Philips 4K Ambilight OLED708 TV has launched in Europe. The new model, available in 48-in, 55-in and 65-in sizes, features responsive LEDs behind the screen projecting color onto the wall for a more immersive experience. The TV uses the P5 Picture Engine with AI to intelligently enhance the picture, and the gadget supports Dolby Vision.

Other features of the Philips OLED708 include support for HDR10+, a Filmmaker mode and 97% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Dolby Atmos optimizes the audio, ensuring you can hear speech clearly, and DTS Play-Fi allows you to wirelessly connect external speakers and soundbars to create a surround sound system. The new model uses Google TV, providing access to apps such as Netflix and Roku. For gaming, the TV has a 120Hz refresh rate with VRR and is compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync.

You can now buy the Philips 4K Ambilight OLED708 TV in countries like the UK and Germany via Amazon. The 48-in model costs €1,499, currently selling with a 15% discount, reducing the price to €1,279; this size is not yet available in the UK. The 55-in model is also discounted in Germany, reducing the €1,799 RRP by 20% to €1,444; the device will shortly arrive in the UK. The 65-in model costs £1,607 in the UK and €1,898 in Germany. It is unclear when the new model from TP Vision could launch in other markets.
