Triathlon Finland invested in Technical Officials’ Education prior to the 2023 Tampere European Masters Games hosted in early July. Hugh McAtamney from Ireland successfully delivered the World Triathlon Technical Officials Level 1 Seminar. At the same time, the National Federation will be able to rely on the newly trained Technical Official Team at national and international levels in the future.
“I’m so happy that we had a chance to get Hugh as our facilitator. The course was just perfect. The location and all facilities were good, all attendees were ready to learn about officiating, and the general atmosphere was high throughout the course. This course was vital to us, as we had only five active Technical Officials. Now that we have more Technical Officials, we can develop our races and help our race organisers.” Kaisa Tamminen, Executive Director of Triathlon Finland, commented after the course.
