Legal tech startup LegalPay launches AI-driven image monitoring tool

New Delhi-based legal technology startup LegalPay has launched ImageMatch, an AI-powered image monitoring tool, designed to safeguard the visual copyrights of professional photographers and artists.

The company said that the proprietary technology, backed by AI, leverages reverse image search capabilities to efficiently track image usage across the internet, streamlining the workflow for professionals by automating reverse image searches upon image import. This eliminates the need for manual searches on platforms such as Google or Bing.

Kundan Shahi, the founder of LegalPay, said “ImageMatch can search the internet similar to Google Images and Bing Images, enabling the identification of stolen images. This user-friendly feature allows for effortless image theft detection, as the system automatically identifies copyright violations and provides documentation of the images’ web locations. Additionally, the system stores results eliminates duplicates, and eliminates false positives.”

Shahi further said that this solution not only prevents copyright infringement for photographers, creators, and artists but also safeguards their intellectual property rights by offering necessary legal recourse in the event of a breach.

LegalPay’s objective is to aid artists, image owners, and digital artists in addressing intellectual property violations by identifying breaches and enabling affected users to seek damages resulting from such infringements.

“We have received inquiries about copyright infringement from OTT platforms, where complainants allege that their pictures were used without permission in web series,” the company stated in a press release.
