Faced with the major economic and societal challenges that the global technology ecosystem currently encounters, Viva Tech 2023 presents itself as a beacon of innovation and progress. From June 14 to 17, 2023, actors from around the world will gather at the Parc des expositions Porte de Versailles in Paris to exchange, learn, and build connections in the technology ecosystem. These four days will be dedicated to presenting the successes, challenges, and groundbreaking ideas shaping our technological world.

Viva Tech 2023: An overview of the future of web3 and technology

The organizers of VivaTech view technology as the engine of change and a force capable of addressing sustainability challenges. Although technology is not the panacea for all ills, it offers answers to some of the most complex questions we face as a society. It is used to reduce waste, increase efficiency, diversify resources, and help solve the energy crisis. It also allows us to rethink education and work to foster more diversity and inclusion.

VivaTech 2023 will bring together more than 2,400 startups and 2,000 investors, enabling local champions from Africa to Asia to become global leaders. The number of exhibitors has increased by 10% from the previous year, and the exhibition space has expanded by an additional 20% in Halls 1&2, reaching 53,000 m². Thought leaders, technology visionaries, heads of state, and industry icons will take the stage across the show’s four stages, discussing everything from AI to cybersecurity, climate technologies, sports, and diversity.

The Republic of Korea, the guest of honor for this edition, will showcase 150 of its best startups. The event will also feature a multitude of dedicated zones, from AfricaTech with eight national pavilions, to a special conference zone for FemTech. Moreover, Hall 2 of VivaTech will be entirely dedicated to the Future of Sport, in association with Global Sports Week.

In addition, the “Tech on Tracks” project in partnership with the SNCF Group will bring the best of the European tech ecosystem to Paris, allowing 150 startups, investors, ecosystems, and media from the main European hubs to come to Paris, thanks to the provision of cross-border trains.

Once again, VivaTech presents itself as the meeting place between business and innovation, where collaboration opportunities are created, and where questions of global impact are debated by major tech players and leading companies.

About Viva Tech Awards

The VivaTech 2023 show is an opportunity to highlight and celebrate excellence and innovation in the field of startups. In partnership with the International Finance Corporation, VivaTech is renewing its AfricaTech Awards initiative for a second year, highlighting innovation in the Climate Tech, Health Tech, and FinTech sectors in Africa.

At the same time, the Female Founder Challenge, supported by AXA, Mazars, and Société Générale, is working towards greater gender equality by facilitating meetings between investors and female entrepreneurs. A similar initiative, the FemTech Challenge, was launched this year, offering ten startups accelerated training on gynecology and the care system in France.

Finally, the Next Unicorn Awards, for their fifth edition, reward fast-growing European scale-ups with the potential to become unicorns. These various awards and challenges underline VivaTech’s commitment to fostering innovation and diversity in the startup landscape.”
