Lady expresses exhaustion as the primary provider in the tech industry

A Nigerian woman recently took to social media to express her frustrations about her marital problems.

In her post, she shared her contemplation of getting a divorce due to her husband’s constant complaints, which she likened to those typically associated with women.

Additionally, she highlighted that she bears the majority of the financial responsibilities in the family, which is due to the fact that she works in the tech industry (referred to as a “tech-sis”).

She expressed exhaustion from shouldering the burden of providing for her family’s needs, including rent, school expenses, and food.

Adding to this, she revealed that despite her efforts, her husband hasn’t shown interest in improving his skills or seeking better-paying job opportunities.

Furthermore, she confessed that she has been involved in an extramarital affair with a colleague from her workplace and is eagerly anticipating the end of her marriage to formalize her relationship with him.

In her own words:

“I came to vent. I am considering a divorce because my husband complains like a woman. His job doesn’t pay well enough, and he is not making an effort to improve his skills.

I am tired of being the primary breadwinner in the tech industry. I contribute to the rent and cover the expenses for our children’s education and food. I am currently involved with a colleague and hope to make our relationship permanent,”
