“You Must Embrace Technology To Succeed” – Tony Elumelu Declares

The master businessman, Tony Elumelu, says every entrepreneur must embrace technology to succeed in today’s world.

The Chairman of Heirs Holdings made the assertion during his much anticipated appearance at this year’s Viva Technology (VivaTech Conference) in Paris, France on Thursday, June 15, 2023.

“You must embrace technology to succeed. You must embrace technology to survive. If you fail to embrace technology, you’re building your business to fail,” Elumelu who is also the chairman of global bank, United Bank for Africa stated.

Elumelu was a major headline for Thursday arm of the event acknowledged as Europe’s largest top-ranking technology conference.

The Tech conference started on June 14, 2023 and is scheduled to end on June 17, 2023 SocietyNow.Ng learned.

“And as entrepreneurs, we should be building businesses to last. Some of us are where we are today because we built our businesses to last, and even to last longer beyond us.” the king of commerce who represented Africa at the fire session titled, “Entrepreneurship in Africa: Africapitalism” further stated.

“It has become a cliche that technology can help Africa leapfrog infrastructure challenges and transform our environment- but we see this every day.” the founder of foundation grooming change makers in a different sectors across Africa, The Tony Elumelu Foundation insisted.

Elumelu who is also the power behind the giant strides of Transcorp (Transnational Corporation Plc) shared the success nuggets with startups, entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders, and tech enthusiasts from around the world at the tech conference.

SocietyNow.Ng’s checks revealed that Elumelu’s outing at the VivaTech Conference is not the first of such in Paris, in 2018 and 2019 he was a guest of France President Emmanuel Macron, at the Tech for Good Summit where he emphasized the need for world leaders to make capital investments in Africa as a strong testament that tech is really for all.

Further digs revealed Elumelu has taken major steps in the same direction with beneficiaries of the Tony Elumelu Foundation utilizing technology to provide solutions with businesses like Econergco, Greenpact and Powerstove boosting the eradication of energy poverty in Africa while Curacel, focuses on insurance inclusion.
