Ree has good chance for truck tech success

TO THE EDITOR:

I was very impressed with the well-written article, “Ree Automotive looks to change EV truck architecture with 4-corner technology” (autonews.com, May 25), about Ree’s modular medium-duty EV, the P7-B box truck.

The duty cycle, the market segment, the partners and incentives all mean a higher chance for success early at less than the usual light-duty vehicular breakeven volumes.

I hope they are just as successful as Cummins was with diesel-ization of medium-duty trucks 40 years ago!

If the product development is sound, I see a great future for this company.
