Incredible New PC Gaming Tech Revealed At Taiwan’s Computex Show

This week sees the annual Computex trade show return to Taiwan’s capital Taipei where many of the worlds leading PC hardware and peripheral companies are revealing their latest products. From core PC components to cases and coolers, this week will see hundreds of new items revealed before they go on sale later this year.

Starting off with a case from manufacturer Azza, the Sanctum 810 has a unique glass panel design that gives fantastic views of the interior of your PC . It also has an interesting dual-chamber design with a lower compartment for hiding cables management. Front fans are angled to point at your graphics card – a proven concept that’s been used by other manufacturers recently and there are seven 120 mm fan mounts in total.

Predominantly a case manufacturing company, HYTE revealed its first CPU liquid cooler at Computex this week. Called the HYTE THICC Q60, it has a five inch IPS display sitting on top of its water block. The display is customizable using the company’s own software.

It lives up to its name too, as the HYTE THICC Q60 has an oversized radiator and fans. The former is 52mm thick compared to the average 30mm thick radiator of most current liquid cooler radiators and the fans are also thicker than your typical PC 25mm PC fans at 32mm deep. Even its pump has been beefed up by including not one but three pumps in the sealed loop. The fans connect magnetically and require a single cable to power them. The HYTE THICC Q60 is expected to retail for $299 when it launches in September.

Silver Stone had lots of interesting products too, with one particularly eye-catching liquid cooler in the form of the IceMyst 420. In fact there were several coolers with different radiator sizes in the same range, all with RGB lighting but with one unique feature.

It has multiple small fans, shown here in this image from KitGuru that point downwards from the pump and water block, presumably to cool your motherboard’s hot spots such as VRMs and M.2 SSDs.

Cooler Master’s NCore 100 Max mini-ITX small form factor case was another highlight of the show, standing less than 50cm tall and a super slim 16 x 21cm footprint. There’s just one 2.5 inch SSD mount, so you’ll need to grab some M.2 SSDs if you need more storage, but it includes an 850W SFX power supply and 357mm of graphics card clearance, with support for up to four slot cards too.

Finally Phanteks revealed new models of its popular NV7 case – the NV9 and NV5, the latter pictured here. This stunning case features RGB lighting, plenty of room for liquid cooling and a unique angled chassis that’s smaller and should be cheaper than the other two models, which is a welcome move given the NV7 costs over $200.
