B Medical Systems inaugurates the Global R&D and Customer Excellence Centre in Mumbai dedicated to state-of-the-art medical device technologies

It has only been two years since B Medical Systems entered the Indian market following a bilateral summit between the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, and the Honourable Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Mr. Xavier Bettel, in November 2020. B Medical Systems has been working at a breakneck speed with offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, and a world-class greenfield manufacturing facility in Mundra Port. With increasing business opportunities in India, the company has been focused on expanding its presence across the nation to support its clients and stakeholders in their efforts of creating safe, reliable, and sustainable healthcare systems by providing high-quality medical cold chain solutions.

The newly inaugurated facility is equipped with global best-in-class tools and equipment and will act as an excellence centre for new product development and improvements for B Medical Systems across multiple technologies including precision cooling, embedded electronics, software design, and mechanical design.

Sharing his enthusiasm for the new Global R&D and Customer Excellence Centre, Mr. Jesal Doshi, CEO of B Medical Systems India Pvt. Ltd. said: “We have started another chapter in our India journey and indeed a very important one. This centre will help us further in strengthening medical devices R&D in India. We are proud that we are a part of the Honourable Prime Minister’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and today marks a new chapter not just for us, but for the Government of India and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare as well. This is amongst the first R&D investments in the country following the approval of the ambitious National Medical Devices Policy 2023 by the Honourable Union Health Minister Shri Mansukh Mandaviya. Our decision to continually invest in the country and bolster R&D capability is in line with the Government’s initiative to make India a global leader in the medical devices space and to achieve its growth from US$11 billion to US$50 billion in the next five years. This centre will create new technologies and products not just for the Indian market but also for the global market working in close conjunction with our R&D teams based in Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, and the United States supporting the Government of India’s Mission of Make in India for the world.

In the last couple of years, we have evolved as a company and as a brand in India. Currently, we are focusing on exploring new territories, meaningful collaborations, and building our brand as one of the most trusted and preferred names in the country when it comes to medical cold chain solutions. Our aim is to provide the most rewarding work environment to our talented team of engineers and scientists at this Centre which will help them translate their ideas into reality through unique technological advancements. I would like to express my gratitude to our esteemed guests, stakeholders, and partners for joining us today for this celebration, and for supporting us in achieving yet another milestone in our Atmanirbhar Bharat journey.”
