Catholic Diocese gives motorcycles to new catechists, wives get sewing machines

The Catholic Diocese of Yola on Friday commissioned 29 new catechists who recently graduated from the Catchetical Training Centre (CTC) Muchalla, Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa state.

Speaking at the investiture and commissioning of the new catechists, the Catholic Bishop of the Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Dami Mamza, admonished the newly commissioned catechists to live an exemplary life in their communities and let the light of God shine through them.

He described the ceremony as timely, saying “each of the catechist will be given a motorcycle for easy transportation for service and other mission work while their wives will be given sewing machine each.”

The Director of the centre, Rev. Fr. Raphael Salama accompanied the Bishop with other priests to present motorcycles to the graduands after the Holy Mass.
