Ant Group partners with Zhejiang University to promote intelligent vision technology

Alibaba’s financial affiliate, Ant Group, has partnered with Zhejiang University to establish an Intelligent Vision Joint Laboratory, aimed at tackling core intelligent vision technology, according to local media outlet Zhejiang Daily. This collaboration aims to promote computer vision, one of the fastest-growing fields of artificial intelligence and one which seeks to further computers and robots’ “understanding” of the world around them through mimicking human vision. In the short term, the joint laboratory will focus on machine vision, 3D reconstruction, and visual content generation in artificial intelligence and computer vision, the report noted.
