Sakaja Buys High-Tech CBD Cleaning Machines

Nairobi County Governor Johnson Sakaja on Wednesday, April 5, unveiled advanced street-cleaning machines in a bid to restore the city’s dignity.

It was reported that City Hall purchased three combine trucks to aid cleaning within Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD).

The combine cleaner is fully equipped with a garbage, dust collection bin, and cleaning system, all integrated into a single truck.

“Governor Sakaja Johnson has invested in these trucks in order to bring order and dignity to the city,” Nairobi County stated.

The truck is widely used in mechanised cleaning and clearing most at night and in the evenings when there is low traffic in the CBD.

It uses a combination of scrubbing appliances that remove soil and silt from the street and minors roads.

Its high-pressure water system is able to clear the rubbish and collect them to a central place from where it will be picked.

At the same time, air pressure has the ability to bring perfection to the streets by clearing any possible dust on the street.

Nairobi County announced that the newly acquired trucks did take charge of Moi Avenue, Tom Mboya Stree and Haile Selassie Avenue.

“These trucks are currently being used in Eastlands and Nairobi Central Business District,” Nairobi County stated.

Governor Sakaja promised to purchase more of such technologically enabled trucks in order to ensure that the streets are clean.
