At MWC 2022, we saw a wide range of phones, tablets, laptops and wearables. We also saw companies showing off new charging tech and an exciting integration of the smart office.

In years past, phones dominated MWC, but we see a resurgence of laptops designed to deliver increased productivity and portability this year.

Here are the best gadgets and technology announced in Barcelona this week. Many of these items will appear on the global market, but you will also find a few of our favorites in the U.S. soon, and the tech will likely make its way into your phone.

The Huawei Super Device for Smart Office is an outline for how our devices can connect and more seamlessly deliver a better experience for us at work. Super Device takes existing collaboration to a new level. With Super Device on a Huawei PC, users can easily access phone images or files. This also allows for faster connectivity to accessories, and users can access the Huawei phone’s interface on the computer screen to use apps and access saved items. Users can also mirror or extend their screen to a Huawei tablet. This ecosystem approach aims to deliver convenience and productivity to users.

Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro

The Samsung Galaxy Book 2 Pro includes upgraded webcams, with a wider field of view and a full HD resolution. This is an important upgrade in our video call-filled workdays, but that isn’t all. The new Galaxy Book 2 also boasts deeper integration with Samsung devices. Buyers get the latest Intel processors, an AMOLED display and the promise of up to 21 hours of battery life. You can even find 5G connectivity. The Galaxy Book 2 Pro comes in 13-inch and 15.6-inch sizes and starts at $1,049.

Acer Swift 5

The Acer Swift 5 now includes a 16:10 aspect ratio screen, joining a taller and roomier display trend. This display jumps from last year’s 1920 x 1080 resolution to 2560 x 1600, which is another excellent upgrade. The new model includes Intel’s latest processors and can be configured with up to 16GB of RAM and 2TB of storage. A Full HD webcam is included, with tech that could improve your video quality. The Swift 5 arrives in June, starting at $1,499.

Honor Magic 4 Pro

The Honor Magic 4 Pro is a beast with an intriguing three-camera setup, 100W fast charging and users also get access to Google services and apps. The Magic 4 Pro features a 50-megapixel main camera, 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with up to 3.5x optical zoom or 100x digital zoom. The fast charging can charge the phone from zero to 50 percent in 15 minutes. This is all paired up with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, 12GB of RAM and a 6.81-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Oppo SuperVOOC Fast Charging Tech

Oppo shows off tech that can charge a phone to 50 percent in 5 minutes.

Oppo announced the SuperVOOC fast charging technology to deliver 150W of fast charging. This can charge a 4,500 mAh battery up to 50 percent in five minutes. This also includes a Battery Health Engine that the company says can nearly double how long the battery remains healthy. The best part about this tech is that it is coming to a new OnePlus phone in 2022.

Huawei MateBook E

The Huawei MateBook E is a 2-in-1 Windows 11 laptop that is the first from the company to feature an OLED Real Color FullView display. The MateBook E works as a standalone tablet with a stylus, or pair it up with a keyboard case for more productivity. The OLED display features a peak brightness of 600 nits and supports the P3 wide color gamut. This device packs in the 11th Gen Intel Core i processors and Intel Iris X graphics.

TCL 30 5G

The TCL 30 5G is a new budget phone with impressive specs at €249. This phone includes a 50-megapixel rear camera, a 5,000 mAh battery and 5G connectivity. This phone consists of a 6.7-inch 60Hz FHD+ AMOLED screen, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. TCL already sells a version of this in the U.S. for $299.99 on Verizon.

OnePlus 10 Pro 5G

The OnePlus 5G is coming to the U.S. by March.

The OnePlus 10 Pro 5G is a 5G model of the OnePlus 10 Pro that is coming to the U.S., Europe and India by the end of March. This phone launches with OxygenOS 12.1 and will get an upgrade to OxygenOS 13 after launch. While this isn’t the model that will include 150W fast charging, it is an exciting addition for the U.S. and other consumers.

For professionals working on a job site where connectivity is important, the Cat Q10 5G Mobile Hotspot looks like a great addition to their toolkit. This MIL-SPEC 810H hotspot can handle drops up to 5.9 feet and is IP68 water and dust-resistant. A dedicated hotspot on the job site allows users to keep their phones in their pockets and keep connectivity going even when someone needs to go to another area. It also includes a magnetic metal panel that you can use to keep it connected to a toolbox, workbench or other gear. It goes on sale in the second or third quarter of 2022.

As an avid paper note taker, the Huawei Matepad Paper is one of the most exciting products from MWC 2022. This E-Ink tablet features a 10.3-inch display and works with the Huawei M-Pencil, allowing users to take notes on the E-Ink display and then sync them to other devices. With a folio cover and the pencil included, this device retails for €499 in Europe.
