Q: What M.2 key types does this support?
A: This M.2 external enclosure support all 2230 2242 2260 2280 PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD of M-Key or M+B Key, SATA-based B Key & (B+M) Key M.2 SSD, PCIe AHCI SSD or any SSD from Mac are not supported.
Q: How long are the cables included in the package?
A: USB A to USB C and USB C to USB C cables are each 15cm in length.
Q: When plugged in, how does it show in the device manager? is it compatible with Samsung software (when a Samsung is installed (like a 970 Evo)?
A: When you connect it to your computer, you can find it in Disk Management on your PC. It is showed as USB storage devices in Device Manager.
For a new SSD, you need partition and format it with Disk Management before using it.
And this SSD Enclosures may not work with Samsung Data Migration, because the SDM cannot find all Non-Samsung hardware over USB.
Q: Why do I get very hot when I use the enclosure?
A: Because M.2 SSD generates a lot of heat during high-speed operation. The various heat-dissipating materials of the product will timely transfer the heat generated by the hard disk to the outer casing, so the temperature of the hard disk casing will be relatively high. This is a normal situation. Don’t worry about it!
