Organizing SCON 4-Wire Recessed Magnetic Track Lighting System
Tips
To design SCON 4-wire advanced recessed magnetic track lighting system, these components MUST be have:
Driver. INPUT: 110V AC. OUTPUT: 48V/24V DC. Dimmable or Non-dimmable.
Track ＆ Rail-with cable. To connect to driver.
Track ＆ Rail-no cable (if you need more than 100cm/39.37inch track ＆ rail). To connect to tracks.
Track lighting heads (48V/24V).
This system can be supplied to dining room, living Room, hallway, office, etc. For the complexity of dimmable system’s installation, please read the instructions carefully and install it with the support of a professional lighting installation electrician.
24V fixture pairs with 24V driver B; 48V to 48V. 24V SUP DIM is recommended, and will have more types in the future. 24V is safer, 48V is more efficient. SUP DIM supports 0-10V/ELV/TRIAC/DALI-Mono CCT dimming when you pair with corresponded dimmable external driver.
The 4-wire system is the best version, for it can be compatible with dimmable or non-dimmable system when you finish the installation of the recessed tracks inside the ceiling.
4-wire track has 2 conductive wires and 2 signal wires, supporting all dimming methods. Dimming methods: TRIAC, 0-10V, DALI-Mono CCT, DALI-Multi CCT, Tuya Wireless. This system can also be non-dimmable.
The key point is different dimming methods can’t be mixed under a driver. Different driver can’t be mixed in a group of tracks.
Dimming switch (TRIAC, 0-10V, DALI) and DALI bus power supply, TUYA Gateway should be purchased separately.
Warning: If your ceiling has been finished, this recessed system can’t be installed unless rebuilding your ceiling.

LOW VOLTAGE ＆ TOUCHABLE. This makes it very convenient to replace various track lighting heads.
ADVANCED VISION AND FEEL. Anodised aluminium is the main material.
GRAPHENE ELEMENT. The conductive strip in the track has added graphene element for better conductivity and more durable use.

You must have at least one power driver which outputing 48V or 24V DC. The total carrying power of the driver cannot exceed 80% of its rated power.
UL certified dimming driver, support a variety of dimming methods. Specific dimming methods need to be matched with corresponding dimmer switches and corresponding accessories. Please read the introduction on the page carefully.
Tracks can be easily connected to each other, but one driver can power up to 12 meters of total track length, otherwise a separate combination of driver and tracks needs to be created.

TRIAC/ELV
Mistaking an TRIAC switch for a 0-10V switch and wiring it in this way can lead to noisy dimming, etc. Switches that can regulate incandescent lamps are TRIAC switches.

DALI Mono-CCT
This diagram is for DALI Multi-CCT.
Multi-CCT DALI: (1)4-Wire track + (2)48V DALI DIM Fixture + (3)48V Driver A + (4)DALI Bus Power Supply + (5)DALI Switch. Individual control of individual luminaires can be achieved, but complex coding and writing procedures are required; please consult the professional DALI installer.
Mono-CCT DALI: (1)Track + (2)48V SUP DIM Fixture + (3)48V Driver C + (4)DALI Bus Power Supply + (5)DALI Switch. The wiring principle is the same as this diagram, except that the drivers and fixtures are different.
DALI can make the dimming method more precise and personalized.
Sketchy Steps of Installation
Step 1
Make a slot with 50mm wide and 60mm deep for placing and securing the track.
Cut off the power.
Connect the rails with connectors, and then fasten them to the main runner together.
Connect the driver, dimming switch, tracks, and other components.
Step 2
Power on.
Test if the track is working by track lighting heads. This step is very IMPORTANT, otherwise the gypsum board needs to be disassembled for inspecting and replacing tracks later.
Step 3
Covering of both sides of the tracks.
Step 4
Install your favorite light heads.
A beautiful magnetic track light system appears.

Choosing Correct Dimming Method
NOTICE
Due to the complexity of the dimming system, please read installation instructions carefully in Store Page, install & use it with the support of a PROFESSIONAL ELECTRICIAN.
Note that according to the product page & Store page to choose your system’s components correctly.
SCON doesn’t directly supply dimming switch, Tuya Zigbee Gateway , but it’s compatible with most brand.
TRIAC/ELV: Large market share, tranditional and high compatibility and easy installation. However, it is simple in function and the LED driver power supply may generate audio noise, and the LED lights may flicker.
0-10V
10 V is the brightest, and 0 V is turned off. Almost all products from OKT Lighting support 0-10V dimming. 1-10V does not have a switch function, and could not adjust the fixtures to the lowest closing effect.
DALI
Advantages
DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) is an internationally-recognized lighting control communication protocol.
Digital dimming, dimming accurate, stable and smooth. DALI control is more flexible and has strong anti-jamming ability.
DALI can communicate with each other in both directions, and can feedback the lamp status to the system control interface. So it supports the dimming of a single lamp or a group of areas.
Two types of DALI: 1) DALI Mono-CCT. 2) DALI Multi-CCT (2700K-5700K). About the two, the wiring principle is the same but the components are different (please read the instructions in detail).
Tuya Zigbee Wireless Dim. Switching and dimming control of each fixture individually can be realized through Tuya Smart APP. Group dimming and switching of lamps can be realized, also compatible with Google and Alexa assistant. Operation is a bit complicated and requires patience.
