The A-List: Your Weekly Guide To The Coolest Gadgets

Nothing phone (1): The first smartphone from the Nothing stable makes a big impression. It sticks to the same transparent design of its first TWS earbuds which has the same wow effect. It’s powered a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778+processor and comes in a choice of two hardware variants – 8GB/128GB version and 12GB/256GB hardware variant. The rear cam combines two 50MP lenses (wide and ultra-wide). Images and videos were really good in our tests even in lowlight. Colours are vibrant and blacks are deep in the 6.55-inch OLED display (2400 x 1800 pixels / 402 PPI / 1200 nits peak brightness) with a 120Hz refresh rate. (Order it on Flipkart – Rs 31,999 onwards)

Redmi Buds 3 Lite: Redmi’s newest addition to its budget TWS Bluetooth Earbuds segment delivers great value for its asking price. The case itself is very compact, you can slip it into your tightest jeans. We like the matte finish and the magnetic mechanism that is reassuringly sturdy. The other handy touch is the IP54 certification for dust and splash resistance. Each of these buds weigh just 4.04g and feature what Redmi calls a unique ‘lock-in fit’ design that ensure these buds don’t fall off easily. These buds deliver surprisingly good bass especially at 50-70% volume level while the fast charge option gives you 100 minutes of playback with a 10-minute charge. Philips Sneaker cleaner: We’re excited about Philips’ new gizmo. None of us like cleaning sneakers and we’ve been using our trainers and sneakers even more in the post-pandemic world. The Philips Sneaker Cleaner (GCA1000/60) is a great hack for manual sneaker cleaning. It reduces time and effort by automating the rubbing and scrubbing. You get a choice of three different brushes. The Soft Brush is for multipurpose use, ideal for mesh and canvas, the hard brush for thorough cleaning of tough surfaces like textured rubber or shoe soles and the Soft Sponge for delicate materials like PVC, leather, and suede. (Order it on the Philips online store – Rs 2,595)
