Daily (YC W16) Is Hiring a Technical Product Marketing Manager

Daily is WebRTC video and audio for every developer. We’re building the APIs and infrastructure to power the future of video, and the Internet.

Developers use Daily to add real-time video and audio experiences to any product. They can integrate a fully working call in minutes. Our features range from prebuilt UIs and lower level APIs to call quality data and global infrastructure and compliance. We serve developers across use cases — like events, productivity, edtech, and healthcare — from startups to the global enterprise. We’re a remote team led by seasoned executives, with over $60 million raised from investors including Renegade Partners, Lachy Groom, Tiger Global, Slack Fund, and Y Combinator.

We’re looking for a Technical Product Marketing Manager to help us scale not only our processes for new product launches, but to also develop and evolve our developer-focused messaging and positioning. You will help to evangelize Daily’s products to both technical and non technical target audiences.

As a key member of the Product Marketing team, the ideal candidate will be as comfortable with code and conveying the value of new products as they are with writing and messaging. Reporting to the Head of Product Marketing, you will work cross functionally with teams including Marketing, Growth, DevRel, Sales, Product and Design. If you want to play a big role as part of a fast-moving, high-growth, and well-funded team addressing a large market, please apply below.

  • Lead new product launches, collaborating with the Product Marketing team to align messaging and positioning for Daily’s products and features.
  • Own market insights to drive product differentiation, go-to-market strategies, and growth initiatives, partnering with Demand Generation among other teams.
  • Work to understand our target personas as well as customers, the problems they face, and how Daily can help.
  • Create technical content such as videos, demos, guides, tutorials, webinars and technical blogs.
  • Understand the complete customer lifecycle from acquisition to expansion, partnering with Marketing and Sales to help drive product interest, evaluation, purchase, and growth.
  • Translate complex ideas & strategies into both prospect and customer-facing collateral
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including Growth, DevRel, Sales, Product and Design
  • Be the de-facto expert on market/opportunity sizing, target audience, customer challenges, and competitive analysis.
  • 5+ years of Product Marketing or Product experience, with 2+ years in a Technical PMM role.
  • Technical background or strong understanding of APIs and the developer audience.
  • 2+ years of experience developing collateral such as demos, blogs, case studies, guides, webinars, tutorials, ROI assessments etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate technical concepts into compelling messaging and collateral.
  • Able to excel in a fast-paced environment, juggling a variety of projects with multiple different stakeholders.
  • Developer marketing experience a plus, but not required
