Wide Gamut – ideal for raw images and printing
If you work with RAW or Adobe RGB images, you will not miss the EIZO Wide Gamut Monitor: The large color space reproduces the AdobeRGB color space to 99 percent. If pictures taken in RAW format are converted to AdobeRGB the monitor will represent these correctly. So you can see a bright blue sky or rich green forests lifelike – unlike monitors with sRGB color gamut. But even when printing, the EIZO monitor offers significant advantages: It covers almost the entire CMYK color space (e.g., ISO Coated and U.S. Web Coated). You can see on the screen what the later printing result looks like and save yourself proofs.
Exact color reproduction – factory
For LCD, the brightness levels vary from module to module concerning the image signal and, therefore, the color mix of red, green, and blue, this can only be accurately recorded and controlled with the help of special measuring devices. Therefore, the EIZO factory adjusts the CG2730 and its colors and tone curve with a fine mesh of support points and any basic color. As a result, a consistent color temperature is achieved across the entire grey value scale.
Professional calibration.
Good image processing is only achieved on well-calibrated monitors. The standard software calibration takes a long time and requires expertise from the user. EIZO’s CG2730 comes with ColorNavigator 6 hardware calibration software. It can be carried out in just a few simple steps, even by users without deep knowledge. Advanced users can set brightness, gamma and white spot, and other calibration settings as target values numerically. Because the calibration takes place through the monitor’s hardware, it is lossless and independent of computer and graphics card.
Stable brightness, no color deviation.

Constant brightness and color temperature. Patented electronics compensated for brightness variations due to longer operating time and increased ambient and operating temperature. Thanks to an integrated thermometer, color variations caused by room temperature fluctuations are controlled and automatically reduced. The color rendering remains constant over a long working period.
From the beginning: Because the warm-up time until brightness, color and tone have fully stabilized is only seven minutes, which is just a quarter of the usual time.
Built-in sensor for self-calibration.
With the integrated sensor, you can achieve maximum color accuracy, allowing it to perfectly match the monitor, taking into account environmental influences such as light and correlates the image center and the edge of the image, ensuring an even result over the entire monitor. The sensor is located in the housing frame and only slides out for measurement. Therefore, a separate calibration device is unnecessary, and your calibration effort in personal and work is streamlined and significantly reduced.
Constant tone value across the entire screen
Pixel by pixel, the Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) controls all tone values across the entire monitor. The effect: The colors appear identical at each point without brightness fluctuations as with conventional LCD. The DUE function also compensates for changes in ambient temperature for color temperature and brightness. You can enjoy a uniform luminance distribution and perfect color purity.
10-bit colour depth: one billion colors in the finest gradation.
Thanks to a 10-bit color representation based on a 16-bit LUT, you can use a vast color spectrum, ensured by the fast DisplayPort and HDMI ports in conjunction with the Frame Rate Control. A billion colors are available at the same time. That’s 64 times as many colors as the 8-bit display. The color gradations are more refined, and the color spacing between adjacent colors lower.
